As we've come to expect from you Christopher, an excellent point, and well made. There are always fringes to an ideology; seems to me the "true worth" of a party is how it deals with those fringes. If it tries to "big tent" them, they can destroy the party. Conversely, if it tries to exclude them, they can cause major schisms. IMO, the only way to handle the problem is to acknowledge it and agree that it is a point of contention yet to be resolved. That's what I like so much about this forum -- we can discuss differences, heatedly sometimes, but without animosity. jim
