SO

Sorry to hear you were suspended.

I have suspended a few people from SI.

SI is not a democracy. People have to respect the rules of conduct. A few here are on probation. I hope we all can get along.

If we don't the price is silence!

Eric

Well SI Bob WAS canned and as far as SI Jeff...well that is another subject best left alone I suppose.

I figure SI is about history anyway. They are doing damage control and giving away memeberships because the B&H bulls have been slaughtered for the most part and have left the neighborhood.

BTW, I actually bought some today so does that mean I can stay on SI I wonder? Do I get any brownie points with the bulls? Not trying to brown nose em ... just wondering. :-)

Who are the bears and do these minions of doom and soldiers of gloom have anything to apologize for?

There are exceedingly few perma-bears in this self-selecting SI world. What bears there are have not always been bears. At one time they were pigs feasting on Cisco truffles. Then, as the cleverer pigs sensed the approach of cold weather without electric heating and heard the footsteps of the bacon maker, they emulated the chipmunks, storing up rations and then ran for the hills.

Most bears are, by nature, careful, and as such, do not short stocks. Some sell naked calls, but only judiciously, mostly as an interesting experiment. Most simply sell what they own, or covered calls, and buy puts.

With the onset of winter, most of us retreated into our den and take a nap. We know, in our sweet dreams, soon the spring will allow us pigs to fly once more.

We have families to nurture, friends to take care of, and in our good conscience, we send out the general alarm on this great Internet to warn our neighbors of the tsunami and the “debtly” sin. We tell them the great chaos brought to us by the false Maestro, the values destroyed, the dreams dashed. We do so at the cost of ridicule, spiced with venom, laced with hate. But, still, we cry out in the darkness to lead the weakened to light.
