Pirate, you are right. NTAP and BRCD have been working on this for well over a year. What NTAP announced today is the BRCD switching fabric. As I understand it, the product is OEM'ed from BRCD.

Pirate,

Enjoyed your exchange with GUS on EMC thread. GUS in my mind is not much better than a tout as he presents little analysis and simply recycles second hand information from brokerage houses or the companies themselves. I got turned off by GUS on the NOK thread a while back when he got emotional and rude every time someone made a bear argument on NOK much like he did with you. Well if you don't know NOK isn't in great shape and has been in a steady decline since GUS's heyday on that thread. Actually I should thank him as his weak arguments really made me take a closer look at QCOM and I moved all my NOK to QCOM.

I enjoy a bear argument as I constantly question why I want to own a stock. My only reason for spending time on SI is to get info that challenges my present thinking. But what goes for bear food around SI sometimes just makes me laugh. Most of the time its just the fact the a stock price has caved (like no stock has ever been beaten down on fear and fud alone). Then we get genius analysis like NAS is getting commoditized <g> when everyone who has read anything on the subject knows the software makes all the difference and is far from a commodity.

My gratitude goes to guys like you and Downsouth who spare us from the emotional claptrap and provide us with some substantive info/analysis.

thanks, Claude (rhymes with TOAD)
