2.5G wireless data arrives later this year. CDMA operators will offer 144 kbps packet data rates. TDMA and GSM will also roll out 2.5G services including laptop cards! Metricom can't get any subscribers (what do they got 40,000? wow) with no competition. What happens when they get competition offering cheaper rates and lots of coverage? I think I understand why nobody is stepping forward to give them money!
I know, I know, nobody in the wireless industry can be believed except Metricom. Everybody else is a liar.
