1. Can't trade options on futures without opening a futures account. Buying silver stocks are probably your best choice. 2. I have sold covered calls in the past on gold stocks, but the premiums are so low that it probably is not worth doing.

Stephan, A few more ideas if you really think that silver is about to explode... CDE ... very risky long term, but short term will move very fast if silver prices shoot up to say above $6. SSRI ... also highly leveraged on silver prices but has no future with silver at $4.50-$5.00 (unlike BAY) FSR ... a speculation on their El Banco exploration project. News expected soon. Options on PAAS.. I don't know if they still trade though (SIL... don't know if there are any) Claude
