Was simply pointing out the dangers of bottom fishing. This was a response to a post regarding that subject. Yes, I have also been there, done that, in fact, I no longer trade full-time as a result of a bottom-fishing trade gone bad last summer. I don't know why you feel I came across as vindictive, I sincerely feel for this trader and I don't even know him. If bottom-fishing works for you as a trader, great. Personally, it doesn't work for me and I was merely pointing out the risks by using this unfortunate example. I just finished reviewing my trading history over the last 10 years, and found that by FAR my most profitable and successful trades have been trading breakouts and strength in uptrending stocks.
