Yes, it does...you have said in past posts that conditions have worsened and that's why we need star wars.


1 - Ted, My argument holds up even if such countries are not less rational then the Soviet Union was simply because there are more of them. Unless they are far more rational, the increasing number of countries with such capability makes a threat to the US more likely. If in a few decades there are 10 countries with such capability and they average 1/2 times as likely to attack as the USSR was that would mean an attack was 5 times more likely.

2 - I think even if things are only just as dangerous as when the old Soviet Union was around I think we should develop missile defenses.
