"He seems to be stuck in an intel only mode, so he can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory."

Dell is stuck between a rock and a hard place...On the one hand they are an "INTC subsidiary", while on the other hand, they are at the stage where they are pushing inferior product on a corporate sector that demands only "superior" product...The corporate sector can, and will turn on a dime once recognition of what is taking place seeps in...The walls began cracking at INTC about a year ago when the Athy gained a foothold...The walls of "INTC subsidiaries" are now beginning to crack...Dell needs to stands back and reassess "the big picture" that is emerging and which, one year after their preliminary assessment, has become much, much clearer!!!
