David, that will be true only if THDO has something to offer a larger player. I have no idea if they do or don't.

Doom and gloom is not necessary.

Layoffs at 3DO and at many Silicon Valley companies are predictable. When the price of electricity goes through the roof, the money to pay the bill has to come from somewhere. No company can survive without energy. For many, survival will depend on how fast they can cut personnel expenses and other expenses until the price of energy stabilizes.

3DO is on the cutting edge of this, it will ripple through the rest of the economy over the next 4 months.
