Regrettably, my wishes do not parallel my view of reality.

Much as would like Uncle Bill's campaign to succeed, because it would clearly benefit both me and my country, I don't see much chance that it can. In fact, I don't believe any big conspiracy exists. (Different from the usual market manipulations and scams, that is).

My hope is that the clique of Uncle Bill & Co plus the ANC plus Louis Farrakhan plus the OAU plus Mad Bob Mugabe, and anyone else you can suggest, can embarrass some politicians somewhere and that it is decided, possibly, to support the gold price or make some big coin issues celebrating Martin Luther King, Gaddaffi or whoever. IMO, the idea that the gold "conspiracy" has messed up African development (and therefore the enrichment of blacks everywhere) is, to date, Uncle Bill's best tactic to get anywhere with his campaign.

As we know, the conspiracy which Uncle Bill proposes and to which I know you subscribe, involves the largest financial institutions in the world, private and public, and not only in the UK and the US, but in many countries --- Netherlands, Canada, Australia to name a few CBs that have been big gold sellers. In fact, it would probably be the greatest scam in the history of the world, both in its financial magnitude and in the number of "secret" participants. Can you imagine if, by some queer quirk of fate, all were found guilty of fraud, conspiracy and corruption and those involved had to go to jail ---

The collapse of the financial establishment of the world ---

Price of gold goes to the skies ---

SA becomes the richest nation in the world ---

And Thabo Mbeki becomes the most powerful man in the world!!

Do I need to say any more?
