My post was a made-up definition of the word "bonehead". The recipient did indeed find it offensive. My post was also a response to a clear violation of the TOU. The question of whether or not it was a 'personal attack' is open for debate, IMHO, since the personal attack could only be implied...I didn't say "You are a bonehead.", for example. That particular post was rather mild compared to some others that I've posted. I called Naveen Jain a bonehead on the INSP thread, (and I included "IMHO").

I am, and always have been, selective in choosing people I flame. I don't usually flame on stock threads, I try to stick to the Coffee Shop.

I've been suspended three times. I don't know, and don't particularly care, what criteria are being used by SI to determine who gets suspended and who doesn't. I assume that lots goes on 'behind the scenes' that contributes to the Admin's decisions on suspending members. I don't make those rules, and I don't want to.

However, your post is relevant. I've been a bit too aggressive recently in my flaming activity. You're not the only one to point this out to me.

I shall therefore change my behavior, and ask SI Admin to delete any of my own posts that went over the line.
