Exactly that's the problem. (The "roadkill syndrome".) I would not be surprised if the bad CSFB Intel report + downgrade would do more harm to AMD's share price than to Intel's.

I think so, too. The overall bad PC market condition is a chance for AMD because in such a situation the strengths and weaknesses of the competing companies will be looked at much closer. Intel can no longer hide its problems, for example with huge investment earnings. The truth finally becomes apparent. And the truth is that AMD currently has a more competitive product mix in the desktop area.
