I can not believe what is going on in the Senate hearing! The old man and the senators are discussing the possible need to purchase private securities with the budget surplus after all the public debt is paid off. Did someone pass the glue bong around or what! Does any thinking individual believe the debt will ever be paid off!!! ng

ODB,

re

The American with a million speculates to win ten, and if he loses takes a clerkship with
equanimity.

Interesting, that always been my view of the American investor too. Although some might find fault, I always have viewed it as being an American strength. How can the USA economy lose with that kind of determination to make money? I regard my countrymen as spineless wimps by comparison. Well, the ones that don't move out of the country that is.

This is why I prefer to work for American companies rather then British ones. -g-

Mind you, I'm not recommending the clown view in todays market. Very interested in the topics discussed re Greenspan, AMAT etc. My Jan poots became trash, Feb's almost a certanty as another expense too. It's leaving me feeling a little peeved, but that's probably good. November and December were just too easy for a "new age" bear. Going to have to sharpen up on the survivalist skills. Beware of TRADING RANGE. -g- It's name is too euphamistic. It's designed to kill normal traders IMHO.

My strategy is to ease off the poots (not all), keep some shorts, keep golds stocks and my tech trash portfolio. The plan is always have something to sell to the needy. Just like the proverbial street corner Indian store. (very common in the UK, provide a great service) The buyers always want to buy something. Make a few cents here and there.

regards,

pearly.
