My grandfather and grandmother came to America from Poland...didn't know a word of English...didn't have a dime left in their pockets and didn't get a cent from the US Government in aid or education (America didn't have such programs then). My father entered the military at the age of 16 (lied to get in)....was able to get a college education and go on to enjoy a middle class life style with his family. I pledge my allegiance to America...and I thank my grandfather for the courage and sacrifice he made so that we could achieve our dreams....I thank my father for his ambition and courage to not look for excuses to fail or not try but to push on to succeed. . .
