I am not sure that the development of those 3 would improve the chances above single .13 al. Hence we have one new process and 9 months which would imply risk premium

Re: I don't see any great problems for Intel. They have two completely seperate .13mu processes - with a third in development (those being .13mu Al, .13mu Cu and .13mu Cu / SOI, respectively).

And don't forget:
Intel's integrated SOC, Timna
their 1.13GHZ PIII (shipping for quite a while now)
the wonderful MTH that lets systems use either SDRAM or RDRAM
their IA-64 chip Itanic (started shipping in 1988, right?)
