ild, I guess I still have a problem calling for a recovery when we have yet have a recession. <g> The rate cuts may have postponed the recession for awhile. We have a depression in internet stocks, and many investors were in those, but when you see a Royce Focus Trust up 50% in the past year, it is hard to say the economy is under water. Cos. selling at reasonable valuations are still making reasonable amounts of money.

My big negatory worry is that the govt. jimmied the stats so much to favor small tech stocks when they went up that their relatively minor economic contribution might overstate the their negative effect on the whole magilla. If Clinton were still in office, I am sure his folks would change the way stats are calculated before the problem could get reported. I doubt that Bush is anywhere close to being smart enough or crooked enough to act that way in time.
