Tater, you're right on this one.

Sell out to Anadarko after brave words in defiance of Hunt. What a crock.!

If Hunt's offer was insulting (and it was) then why the hell didn't Rose et al, tell Anadarko to shove it and fight them off in the market place.
The only way they could lose, is if they failed to convince the investment MMs that it was not worth more and that they could bring it back to $14 quickly.

Shitty deal, that'll stink for a while.
