I hope you're right LoF. Many of us, myself included, failed to see the economic slowdown we are now caught in the middle of. Had I/we seen it coming, we probably could have taken better saftey precautions to preserve capital.

Let's hope the opposite is true and the economic boom that will one day return, I hope, is similary camouglaged the way this slowdown was just 6 months ago.

I feel like I am on the Titanic right now. S.O.S.

LoF - in that vein I finally pulled the trigger on JDSU in the midst of this afternoon's maelstrom. Best of luck.

LoF,

Market is over-reacting to the possibility that Greenspan is nearly done with cuts.
You know, I think it is just pattern trading, end of the day profit collection by the professional shorts. Professional traders simply don't trade on the H-H blather on Capitol Hill. Greenspan simply isn't tipping his hand:
204.179.240.78

However, they fail to see the economic boom that is just around the corner.
Forrester Research recently did a study on the 3G wireless buildout. They are projecting decreasing profitability in the cell phone sector through 2007 followed by 6 years of profitless provisioning. That corner that the boom is just around isn't even in the same decade, AFAIK. The only corner I see going is the one the IPPs are woikin' in Cali.

Today is buying time; not visa versa.
Hmmmm... in da awl patch, mebbe....

Best, Ray
