<< ...buying pressure died on the vine today. >>

The bears won today's battle, but IMHO that doesn't change much. I'd say this is most consistent with analyst downgrades and WS talk/noise doing their intended magic: squeezing out the last of the die-hard sellers. But this is temporary only. After the last of the retail sellers has given up the ghost, selling pressure will dry up. The big selling has already taken place in most stocks, and there is selling exhaustion taking place, much as buying exhaustion characterizes stocks that are no longer able to advance.

Again, the probable reversal area is 2364, but I don't think it will get there. Critical long-term trendline support is 2314, and unless and until that crucial trendline is breached, the bears will lose here in the end.

Mish,

It is not just Greg who doesn't want your constant posts. A number of people have very politely suggested you start your own thread, and I am now also suggesting the same.

I remember when you first started posting and you characterized the thread as a quiet place. You were right. It was a quiet place and that was how we liked it.

On SI we have lost a number of thread leaders recently because the tenor of the particular thread had changed. I would be devastated, ok, not devastated, but pained, if we lost Greg because the tone had changed.

Mish, please, please start your own thread and post there. You have a lot of successful ideas, and I'm sure it will be extremely popular. GO FOR IT!

Hey Mishiebear,

Here's a short for you to consider:

askresearch.com

Sector goin' down the tubes now, this company along with it, and they announce tomorrow. Now set to fail once again at the long-term moving averages, with technical and candle weakening evident IMHO......
