Ok.. couple more questions for you on the options front if you don't mind.

Let's say you have 1000 shares of XYZ @ 10. Total investment 10k. If I wanted to hedge this position would I buy 10 put contracts straight up? (Assume no ability to write a covered call). Best to buy in the money or out of? Am I better off buying more/less contracts?

Just starting to dabble in the options. What leverage. I bought some AVCI puts when it was in the 30's. Already about a 3 bagger. btw, look at the insider selling for AVCI. Amazing.
