<<I don't have any laid off friends or neighbors. Do you?>>

Yep. A grain hauler neighbor. Another neighbor laid off a construction worker. A carpet layer is off from the housing down turn.

I don't have any laid off friends or neighbors. Do you?

Yes I have two neighbors laid off since Christmas. Actually both lost jobs permanently. One is 58 years old and was working for a utility in the deregulation area. He worked for the same company for over 35 years, but as Clinton once said at a town meeting to a man who was afraid of losing his business. "Your young you can find something else."
So my neighbor found something else which is a part time landscaping position. So he's off the unemployment roles. Now if he was a good Democrat I'm sure he could find some Federal giveaway program which would be better than just doing manual labor. There has to be a lot of free giveaway programs the Democrats sucked off of for the last 8 years.

To add to that the lay offs have put a whoa on an $18,000 boat swap and a new Jeep for my wife. Lots of $$ gone there. Clinton and Boies sure showed Microsoft at the expense of the country.
