dfund,

Hello. Unfortunately, you really can't do anything to become more convincing. You can only continue to walk upright before him as an example. Ultimately, it will be the Holy Spirit that draws him to God. He will either receive Christ or he will not. I will pray for your friend to receive Christ. I would not discourage you from giving your friend more books, but if he hasn't read that one then may be unlikely that he would read others? Just remain steadfast in your desire to shine your light before him by walking with God. Keep up the faith!

Bluefish

PS I am not familiar with Ayn Rand so I can offer nothing specific to counter any wrong doctrine or thinking there. Sorry.

><>...Good evening dfund...><>

And welcome....Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD.

Bluefish has given you some very solid advice. To be an example of Christ in every way you know how is of so important. I would also add try never to miss an opportunity to speak of the love and grace of God....as it relates to everyday life.

As for a book suggestion, there is only one I would ever suggest whose author is the world's greatest convincer...!!
The words are alive and they can and do come to life for those who God wills them to.

I must say though that Ayn Rand readers are tough...but we know anything is possible with God.

It is His desire that all men come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

But as bf has already said...prayer my friend, keep him in diligent prayer and also let him know that you are...!

Have a most blessed evening
Shalom...><>
I will also remember him in my prayers...God knows exactly who is.

I have just received a copy of that book, by Lee Strobel, and I am looking forward to reading it. All you can do is plant the seed. God gets to draw him in. Being available for disussion and "living the life," as Michael W. Smith's song goes, is a great opportunity.
