Hi Nick, I'm glad you didn't take my post the wrong way. I try to be a nice guy :-) So howzabouts this: Take some AMAT at around 45, sell some Jan 2002 45 calls, pocket the ~$11 and put it in yer money market account. You have just guaranteed 20-25% return on your investment. You can always monitor the rest of the year and potentially close your option position to yield an even higher % return. Now I believe the stock will get called away next year, so don't sell it! As far as understanding the plan goes... I thought all of our plans were to make money!
