I like savings bonds stashed in a bank box. Corporate paper and bank CD's - no bueno.

BR, only government bonds performed well during that period....corporate bonds got killed, every single one of them.

agency bonds didn't exist at the time, and i'd say they're somewhere in between govt. and corporates in terms of risk.

T IS junk imo...look at their balance sheet, it's positively frightening...
