Then where did you get the idea that taxes are "virtually zero" in Costa Rica? In fact, government expenditures there are choking their formerly vibrant economy to death.

I do know about Costa Rica

. But according to you, it would be better if the haves keep all the money and the rest of the people are poor and the cities and roads and infrastructure get run down so the fat cats don't have to pay tax. Let's gas chamber the poor that will help!

Rich lets try to keep it civil and actually assume that we all here are trying to discuss things for the better of all. Look It has been over 30 years since Lyndon Johnson waged his Jihad on ending poverty. There are more poor today than when he began his program but we have given our entire deficit to end it. All the money just went to growing the bureaucracy. I pointed out to you that our poor have the best standard of the world. Our poor eat better than PHD's in Russia and India. Our poor are the envy of the world.

The government till recently still had a helium balloon program.(in case we were attacked by balloons) Our government paid a bureaucrat 76k a year to hand out 100k in student loans. Money left to the government simply gets wasted. Look at what Gates and so many other rich people are doing with their money. They don’t hide it under a mattress they invest it back into the economy and they do a better job of it than do those people in Washington most of whom have never had a job in their life.
