The Japanese version of "Your Hit Parade" (Yoru no Hit Studio) lasted from 1964 to 1990. Every week, the top pop, rock and enka (sort of like Japanese country music) stars and groups would perform their hits live, some with a full orchestra, right up till 1990. I used to love taping that show every week, and saved about 100 of them.
