If I recall correctly, NUFO is the only company capable of making tunable laser besides SDLI.

It is irrelevant who is making tunable lasers. When something relevant does arise you can expect Wall Street to be completely deaf, blind, and dumb. The news item you posted is nothing short of blockbuster. The market's reaction? "I won't buy unless you do". And, "I haven't been told by appropriately designated authority that it is right to buy". Or, "The capex slowdown is upon us and blah blah blah". This is the kind of individual who makes the big salary. The kind who controls the market from an office in a penthouse of a glass and steel tower. They know what they need to know.
