Mike, wrt to SNDK:

I attended an Adobe Digital Video rollout yesterday. It was a well attended event with sat broadcast into the major US and CDN cities. Well attended, I am told.

ADBE's value chain was in evidence there, with Sony dominant. Throughout the day there was no mention of SNDK products, but lots of talk of Sony Memory Sticks and IBM MicroDrive products.

Now, DV (digital video) certainly requires much more storage than still pix, so that could explain some of it.

For the people who believe that Gorillas are undervalued today, I surely hope they realize that their stocks will get trounced even more if indeed we do have a recession this year or next year.

Agreed, and even of we don't have a recession it can happen, simply because of sentiment or lack of analysis. Buying shares below their (estimated) intrinsic value can give a disappointing result for a considerable period. Unfortunately I know this from experience.

Still I agree with Tinker and Aerokat that this is a great time to at least work out what is fair value for some of these companies. And as Mike's note suggests, even better prices might be possible.
