My understanding of that thread was that it was intended to be a spoof of the idea "moderated" threads. If you will notice, there are posters engaging in "debate" on that thread now. I think it's evolving back to hockey mode.

Wow, I just noticed something. I put ignored you yesterday, yet your post is visible. Hmmmm, I'm going to have to bring this to Jeff's attention. Doesn't look like I'm getting my money's worth.

Not quite true. There were a number of whines on LWP about the fact that people were banned from RWET. ANd many whines about its very existence. Apparently the existence of a left-wing moderated thread (LWP) was OK, but not a right-wing moderated thread,

As for banning in advance: There are people you know you are going to ban; why bother with the hypocrisy of letting them post and prove they should be banned.
