And as far as not being a deterent to crime is BS. Travel the world and notice any "social economic collective" that has swift and just punishment and you will find an area where people feel save to walk the streets

We're in agreement there... I'm saying that hiding the punishment from the public and making it palatable kills the deterrence. The U.S. style execution is clearly not effective. In Saudi Arabia, there's a different story. You want to have something similar to Islamic Law in the United State? Welcome to it my friend. Just don't get falsely accused and swiftly convicted.

The media supplies some ideas and facts. I pick and choose and make my own mind up. I get bombarded by the dogma from all political spectra. Just because I agree with what you perceive as a bias in the media, doesn't mean I was necessarily mesmerized by them.
