Yeah, strange things happen. That fellow that wrote/directed "Clerks" financed it off of credit cards at a budget of about $30,000. His friends were in it, and he used cheap film stock and shot in black and white. His location was his hometown in New Jersey, and the convenience store where he worked. But the film got picked up by a decent distributor, took off, and he became a Hollywood director.......
