Did some digging on Sun...

Sun sees ChorusOS as their Real Time OS
for their new satellite boards for the Netra platforms. ChorusOS is a
very powerful RTOS, although it is a bit late to market compared to VxWorks.
For that reason Lucent uses VxWorks, and Interphase is supporting VxWorks for
Lucent on the Netra platforms. Yet, Interphase is working with Sun very closely in
integrating ChorusOS with our 4532 module for wireless applications. Sun
will have support for the 4532 integrated with ChorusOS when the OS starts
shipping. The 4532 is the first and only ATM OC3 controller supported by
ChorusOS.

The ChorusOS™ operating system is a highly scalable and reliable embedded
operating system, that has established itself among top telecom suppliers. The
ChorusOS operating system is used in public switches and PBXs, as well as within
access networks, cross-connect switches, voice-mail systems, cellular base stations,
web-phones and cellular telephones.

An open and flexible solution, the ChorusOS operating system and the Interphase
4532 ATM over OC-3/STM-1 PMC communications controller have allowed
developers to rapidly respond to customer needs and market conditions by quickly
and cost-effectively creating and deploying new services and mission-critical
applications. The 4532 is the first product of its kind for carrier class ATM
communications designed to maximize the benefits of CompactPCI' distributed
architecture and real time operating systems, such as ChorusOS. With enhanced
networking features, the ChorusOS operating system seamlessly supports third-party
protocol stacks, legacy applications, real-time and Java technology-based
applications simultaneously on a single hardware platform.

LU and QCOM tested together back in DEC 2000...

Monday February 19, 3:00 am Eastern Time

Press Release

QUALCOMM Demonstrates 1xEV Technology at
3GSM World Congress

1xEV Offers Wireless Internet Access for Third-Generation Services

CANNES, France--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 19, 2001--QUALCOMM Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM - news), pioneer
and world leader of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology, today announced the Company will
showcase a live demonstration of cdma2000 1xEV technology at the 3GSM World Congress in Cannes, France, February
20-23, 2001. The 1xEV demonstration will be conducted at QUALCOMM's booth in Hall 1, Booth No. E51 at the Palais
des Festivals. 1xEV supports peak data rates up to 2.4 Mbps in a standard 1.25 MHz frequency channel.

The demonstration will consist of a base station and small, trial wireless modems attached to laptops, notebook computers and
pocket PCs, performing Web browsing, e-mail, file downloads and applications such as streaming video, Internet games and
telematics. 1xEV provides the highest spectral efficiency of any mobile, wireless wide-area network in existence today,
resulting in the lowest cost per bit for data delivery.

1xEV's Internet protocol-based architecture and frequency independence allows it to be overlaid on various voice networks,
including GSM, or work as a stand-alone system. 1xEV is compatible with cdmaOne(TM) and cdma2000 networks, thus
leveraging existing product designs and enabling service providers to obtain higher capacities and superior performance by
optimizing voice and data spectrum separately. 1xEV offers third-generation (3G) data services and meets the International
Telecommunications Union's International Mobile Telecommunications 2000 (IMT-2000) requirements. 1xEV is an
enhancement of the cdma2000 standard of the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA). The CDMA 1xEV
specification was developed by the Third Generation Partnership Project 2 (3GPP2), a partnership consisting of five
telecommunications standards bodies: CWTS in China, ARIB and TTC in Japan, TTA in Korea, and TIA in North America.
The 1xEV specification is known as TIA/EIA/IS-856 ``CDMA2000 High Rate Packet Data Air Interface Specification.''

QUALCOMM will support the capabilities of 1xEV with integrated circuits and system software solutions for device and
infrastructure equipment. QUALCOMM's device offerings provide manufacturers with the most advanced, feature-rich
solutions available for high-speed wireless Internet services.
