I haven't read the book so perhaps it is not fair to comment on it. But from what I have read about the book it seems to me that it is too focused on geography being the only major factor. If it rejects all other explanations for the differences in wealth and development of regions, societies and countries. If that it true (rather then a biased inaccurate statement by the reviewer) then I would probably disagree with its conclusion. However even if I do disagree with the conclusion it would still be quite possible to learn from it and for the book to be interesting and thought provoking.
