Sounds like Piper Jaffray may have gotten wind of the DELL'ORO Core Router Market Share report due out on Tuesday:

biz.yahoo.com

``Through Extreme's impressive sales force and its superior technology, the company has grown its Layer 3 switching market share of port shipments in the December quarter to more than 30 percent according to the Dell'Oro Group,'' said McEvoy. ``Furthermore, as optical networking technologies migrate from the network core toward the edge and Ethernet technologies migrate from the enterprise toward the core, we believe Extreme Networks is well positioned to capture a significant share of the metro Ethernet market, a multi-billion dollar opportunity.''

When DELL'ORO releases the report showing JNPR taking even more Core Router market share from CSCO, we should see a pop in JNPR again. Market share was 30% in Q3 and may be 35% in Q4, according to some sources. This would be a blow to CSCO.

DELL'ORO is the leading WAN product market research group.
