A huge weight has been lifted off JDSU, that being the SDLI arbitrage. No more selling JDSU and buying SDLI at a sharp discount to JDSU. Yes, there was a big S&P buy today...but did you notice that as soon as SDLI stopped trading, JDSU took off? I noticed. This rids us of a huge overhang of shares and "un-natural" selling pressure. I have seen this in deal stocks many times. Recent example: AOL went from 32 to 57 in 3 weeks once the Time-Warner Deal closed. Like this, that was another all stock deal. I see the factors supporting the shorts diminishing by the day.
