The strong finish and close above $24-3/4 augurs well for tomorrow...A 10 million share day could do wonders for AMD's price!!!

Redbird,

"Nice end of day"

Indeed, very nice!

To celebrate this end of day, just a little update:

KME processor top 10 bestseller list of February 14

1 AMD ATHLON K7 1000 Thunderbird
2 AMD DURON 800
3 AMD ATHLON K7 800 Thunderbird
4 AMD ATHLON K7 1200 Thunderbird
5 AMD DURON 700
6 AMD ATHLON K7 900 Thunderbird
7 AMD K6-2 550
8 INTEL PENTIUM III 1GHz EB FCPGA
9 AMD ATHLON K7 1100 Thunderbird
10 INTEL PENTIUM III 866EB FCPGA

BTW: The ASUS A7V133 RAID is coming, with support for RAID 0, 1, 0+1. KME is advertising it right now. (Too bad, I should have known it 2 days earlier...)

All these wonderful new motherboards based on the KT 133A chipset strengthen AMD's position enormously. It was due to the questionable stability of the motherboards which hold AMD back for a long time in many areas. But now, the old image that AMD has powerful CPUs with crappy motherboards is not valid any more. On the contrary! AMD never has had such a stable, powerful and cheap (compared to the Pentium 4) infrastructure.

Now the tables have turned. The infrastructure, which was AMD's weakest point in the past, now turns out to be a big advantage. Who wants to buy a highly expensive P4 motherboard with highly expensive Rambus memory if such a cheap, stable and powerful alternative exists? Especially when the current P4 socket will be obsolete in a few months?

Peter
