You're saying that the president of the United States deliberately lied so as to try to close the book on all this? Is that what you're alleging? Re: "Actually, I don't think there are any "GOP attack dogs": Let's see how many dozen can I name in 60 seconds: Barr, Burton, Lott, every GOP congressman from Oklahoma, 95 percent of the political talk-show hosts on AM "hate" radio and "hate" cable television, former Reps. Bob Dornan and Bob Livingston, etc., etc. But let's focus initially on Sen. Specter of Pennsylvania, who wants to impeach President Clinton even though the president is now an "ex." (Only Arlen could have come up with this one; I got to tip my hat to him.) I got a better idea. Let's do Tricky Dicky first, then Gerald Ford next for pardoning Tricky Dicky a quarter-century ago. Yeah, then we can do Clinton and move on to FDR, because some right-wing attack dog historian believes that FDR had been warned about Pearl Harbor. Then we can move on to Washington and Jefferson because they owned slaves.
