Hard to think many CEO's from outside could improve the intel culture. I know, I know, we have discussed the flaws. Wish B would fix those himself.

I thought Cramer made sense in that article. I don't agree that Barrett should go. Can you imagine the culture shock if Intel brought in an outsider as CEO?

Maybe thats what's needed. When I say that, I mean to get Intel back to generating some faster growth where revenues go up more than 10% YOY. I think Barrett is good for maintaining the current pace but I think the expectations going forward may be for higher growth rate.

I think this year will be an important one for Intel.

The bar is certainly low enough for Intel. Consensus is $1.04 for 2001 v. $1.52 for 2000. Let's hope for a catalyst to kick start PC sales.

I hoping for other catalysts that will make Intel less dependent on PC sales.
