BRCM's max pain is around 100, so you can bet your last dollar it will get there tomorrow.

Same thing with all the other big cap techs that are down big. They were the only thing in todays market that was going up, even some like AMAT who basically warned their business has turned to shit.

I dont see any need to feel the pain of another 20 point rise on some of my favorite shorts, so I am covered until the end of the day friday.

Max pain almost ALWAYS works. In this case, techs have been devestated so badly that it certainly WILL work.

If you're a fund manager, or a hedge fund, and you can put 100 million in your pocket by spending 10 million to goose the underlying common up 10 or 20 points, of COURSE you're going to do it.

There's no conspiracy, it's just business as usual. Nobody in the press ever talks about it because these sort of things shatter the illusion of a free market.
