Dave, this is normal for a stock that is so far off its highs that they seem unattainable for the near term. 'bell-wethers' are only stocks that go up...

the mania in tech has basically died, although it is still having convulsions from time to time. what is generally not appreciated imo is that these stocks are STILL extremely overvalued, even by the somewhat looser valuation standards of the Nasdaq. i doubt that the much touted second half recovery will take place -in fact i expect exactly the opposite to happen, i.e. i believe the fundamentals are going to take a turn for the worse. instead of merely reporting a slowdown in growth, many of the crazy uncles in the basement will report FALLING revenues and earnings, and in many cases burgeoning losses.
they are not priced for that - yet.
