Did Robert Johnson sell his soul at the crossroads?
(A man can dream of angels , like you , even when he sings the blues...
& there's always the music of the heavenly rounded
spheres too....! ;-)

~She Gives Me Religion~

Down the mystic avenue I walk again
Remembering the days gone by
And I'm knocking with my heart
And all the girls walk by
In all their summer fashions
And the churchbells chime
On a summer Sunday afternoon

She gives me religion
She gives me religion

And the angel of imagination
Opened up my gate
She said "come right in
I saw you knocking with your heart."

And the angel of imagination
She lit your fiery vision bright
Let your flame burn into the night
She saw you knocking with your heart
And opened up her light

She gives me religion
She gives me religion
It's all right

And all the girls walk by
In all their summer fashions
And the churchbells chime
On a summer Sunday afternoon

It's all right
She gives me religion
I said she gives me religion
And I'm knocking and I'm knocking with my heart
And I'm knocking, knocking with my heart
And I'm knocking with my heart

In the darkest night
I said you are shining bright
You are my guiding light
Show me wrong from right

Beautiful vision
Stay with me all of the time
Beautiful vision
Stay ever on my mind with your beautiful vision
I can make it
I can make it
Holding on to that beautiful
vision of you..

Van Morrison

Ducking for apples-
change one letter and it's the
story of my life.

~Dorothy Parker

Happy Valentines belated, hope your beloved(s) lavished you
with your wants. (or at least a card)

When talking about the History of Jazz , Ken Burns is relating how almost unanimously all the people were
in agreement that Louis Armstrong was
a "Gift from God " .... "An angel sent from above", and
other awe inspiring remarks coming
from everyone who knew him famous
or the non-famous.

Hardly any other American figure received
this almost mystical unanimous approval...
and his far reaching influence on changing of the musical scene
and on our collective American consciousness ,
(except for Abraham Lincoln ),
the famous documentary maker Burns notes in "Jazz" ....

Funny, amazing little Valentine that he was ,
when Ella Fitzgerald was asked if Louis
was an "angel" ,

she could only reply:

" had the biggest wings , I ever saw ..."

It's all about America's awakening Soul...but
now days they don't even know what they're
so mad about , they just know it just
sells records, microwave dinners
bandwidth, religion,&
elects politicians....

We have so much to complain about
in todays American
society , ya know ... <G>

Play it one more time , Satchmo .

All God's chillun got Soul...
