of course these demand statistics pale in view of the chief hedging whackos selling an additional 3 million oz. short in q 4 of 2000 alone....two companies making life miserable for the entire industry by constantly shooting themselves in the foot. just desserts will be served though...by now every last speculator on earth who ever heard of gold is probably short. i just watched a cockroach race on German TV....a cockroach by the name of Sputnik won....what will they think of next? here's the latest on the ongoing Mid East festivities: news.bbc.co.uk
