I wish he'd stick to the topics of product adoption and company- or industry-specific fundamentals. When it comes to the timing of an equity investment, he should be consistent with his book and refrain from discussing the stuff about investing other than what's covered in Rules #1 - #10.

My sentiments, exactly. It seems that GM was enlightened when he and his colleagues wrote TFM, but he has been polluted by his own popularity and commercial appeal. The very thing that made him valuable is being lost in his person, while valued by the practitioners.

It's comments such as those on his list-serv that make me seriously question the discipline he uses when stating that gorillas are always undervalued

Amen!

First Johnson, now Moore. Thank goodness for the book.

I find it interesting and reassuring that what I would consider critical factors are presented by threadmembers much more than the so called experts. Along with the important points that have been made by many different people over the last couple of days there have been other contributions such as BB's ideas about ages of individual companies.

Taken together it all leads us to a estimate of the probability that the purchase of a gorilla or king right now would have positive results over the long term which, I would think, is fairly high.

I too think additional purchases of selb, ntap&jdsu will look awfully good in 12 months or so.
