That's the kiss of death. Once a momentum stock breaks trend on either side, MM's have absolutely no mercy. If they get the slightest hunch that shorts are looking for more opportunistic moments, they will drive it to the highest possible high. Of course, the same phenomenon exists on the long side, but we aren't playing in that ballpark right now.
