Hi JR1, You are right in that it is now best to limit oneself to only trade the former high flyers as they bob up and down in the oil spill, with house money.

On the hubris, it's no fun when kept to oneself. Trying to scare the kids is as much about fun as it is about public service.

Why cash/bonds? Because I lack conviction, prefers certainty for the greater part of what I have, and like to stay alive, given that the chips are real and wealth transfer is happening out there in a ferocious fashion. I do not intentionally trade intra-day/week, but I have been only buying at moments of maximum panic and confusion over the past 14 months, be they i.net, e.com, cigarettes or broken insurance company, when volatility meter redlines.

Chugs, Jay
