Gottfried, DD is a terrific contrarian, though I don't agree with some of his specific picks. For example, I don't think anyone has calculated the blood in Intel's internet hedge fund that has been their only growth engine for the past few years. But the concept of buying surviving stocks low makes a lot more sense than paying up when things are good.
