I agree with you. If NTAP's A/R & inventories continue to grow faster than revenue the sequential revenue increases are meaningless. The company stated in their most recent conference call that they'll get DSO's within a range of 55-65 days within 2 quarters. We'll just have to see if they can execute.

But my previous post was speaking to the issue of revenue growth rates of EMC and NTAP. I was refuting the argument made that EMC's 4Q00 results showed that their revenue growth rate is close to that of NTAP. Do you dispute that NTAP's historical revenue growth rate is higher than EMC's?

I should also like to pose a question to this thread. If an investor was convinced that storage will be one of the fastest growing businesses over the next 5-10 years, and if that same investor didn't have the technical background to be sure who would win between EMC and NTAP, wouldn't he be prudent to own shares in both companies?
