First thing, I am not convinced that bandwidth is the real problem except for a very small class of problems. It would just be amusing to see the Rambus lawyers heads explode...

The only problem with embedded RAM is our Boys From Redmond expand memory needs faster than the increase in the density of transistors, so for desktops this isn't happening anytime soon.
