Foundry had announced entry into the IP core routing space that Cisco and Juniper currently dominate, but announced in their latest CC that they were 'retreating' from the IP core game. The software expert Tony Li who wrote much of Cisco's code as well as Juniper's code and now is writing code for Procket has claimed on the Fool Juniper thread the barriers to entry for the software in IP core routing are very, very high and that Foundry was not able to break that entry.
