Real question that needs to be asked is: Do they own any of the debt instruments that are trading at 9 cents on the $? If not then just how smart are they?

What do you mean by "dehypothecating"? looked it up in Websters under hypothecate and dehypothecate plus variants.
No such animal. Yes, I've read Maurice's hypothesis. Dehypothecate turns up red in the speller as well. Hypothecate doesn't so the word exists somewhere. What does it mean?
